Realizing that infrastructure is an important element in investment attraction, Binh Duong is making efforts to improve the local traffic infrastructure system at industrial parks, on main streets, inter-regional streets…to absorb more foreign and domestic investors.
The My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway has contributed to creating a motivation for Binh Duong to promote the local economic development
Strong investment in traffic infrastructure
Binh Duong is now a bright spot on traffic infrastructure development. From a policy promoting traffic infrastructure to attract investors, Binh Duong has built up breakthrough streets. The Highway 13 (or called Binh Duong Avenue) is a typical example for this. It has created favorable conditions for Vietnam-Singapore I Industrial Park (IP) and Dong An I IP in Thuan An town to quickly lure investors. Noticeably, it has contributed to effectively realizing a policy on promoting industrial development in the northern districts of the province.
Ben Cat town where the Highway 13 runs through has formed up a lot of IPs, namely My Phuoc, Bau Bang, with modern and large scale. In Tan Uyen town, streets like DT746, DT747, DT742…have contributed to promoting the local industrial development. Many factories have loomed large across the locality, especially at Dat Cuoc and South Tan Uyen Ips.
Realizing the importance of traffic infrastructure, the 9th provincial Party Congress five years ago defined that the province would continue developing more new streets, facilitating inter-regional trade exchange. Particularly, the province upgraded two important streets, comprising of the Highway 13 of 62km and DT741 of 49km. Also during the period, many other important streets like DT743, DT744, DT746, DT747…were also upgraded.
Further promoting traffic infrastructure to draw investors
In Oct.2015, Binh Duong inaugurated the My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway-phase 1 from DT471 street to An Phu six-way crossroads. The province also upgraded DT743 street and inaugurated DT744 street connecting TDM city with Dau Tieng district. Along with this, construction of the My Phuoc-Bau Bang street has just been commenced…
Binh Duong will further mobilize all economic sectors to invest in traffic infrastructure which is seen as a highlight for the local investment attraction. Particularly, the province will take full advantage of capital sources to build up a traffic infrastructure system connecting with the southern key economic zone.
The province has also aimed at upgrading national-level streets, building main streets connecting with urban centers, concentrated Ips while developing a synchronous system on district/commune-level streets. In addition, the province will strongly develop a public traffic system to prepare for the process of HCM city’s traffic connection, especially the metro route Suoi Tien-Binh Duong new urban area-Dong Nai and the bus route around TDM city-Binh Duong new urban area-Suoi Tien while attaching special importance to fostering the local waterway traffic system.
To concretize the above tasks, Binh Duong is focusing on working out many streets in areas projected; strongly absorbing and effectively using capital sources for infrastructure development. The province also continues implementing and soon completing main streets, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development as well as making the national and regional traffic connection.
Nguyen Van Lieu, Head of provincial Ips Management Board said that the province’s strong investment in inter-regional streets with high connection like the highway 13 or the My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway will help improve the local investment climate in foreign investors’ eyes. This will contribute to helping the province successfully realize major targets on socio-economic development in the new period to be able to soon become one of the country’s civilized and modern cities and an attractive destination for investors.
