Local youths eager with activities for Year of Youth 2011

Along with lively ambience of welcoming the 11th national party congress, local youths have been lively eager with many works and good deeds in the Year of Youth 2011. Young doctors offer free health check up and medicines for the poor.

After one week of launching the Year of Youth 2011, local youth unions at all levels implemented a chain of typical works. The first was the start-up ceremony of Year of Youth and ground-breaking ceremony of supportive Center for young laborers and workers at My Phuoc IP held on Dec. 31, 2010. At these ceremonies, relevant localities signed commitments to complete the set tasks in the Year of Youth 2011. On the occasion, rep of the Central Youth Union, the local steering board of Year of Youth 2011 also granted a charity house to a poor youth in Ben Cat district, cooperated with the local Club for Young Doctors to offer free health check up and medicines for over 100 poor people in Dau Tieng district.

Next, the local youths involved in “Youth day for the poor” by significant deeds. At the launching ceremony, local youth union and units presented 20 charity houses to the poor. The start-up ceremony on “Youth Day for environment”, held at Di An district on Jan 2, 2011, included activities for environment.

Youth day for children also took place at Tan Uyen district with good deeds of granting 43 scholarships worth over VND10mil to excellent-but-poor students, offering one charity house to a poor family…

As planned, the Volunteer Blood Donation Day will also take place on Jan. 10-11, 2011 at Binh Duong University. Day for national border will be held at Binh Phuoc province on Jan. 14-15.

Until now, most of units have launched the Year of Youth 2011 and held activities at a time, creating high effect in the society.
