Localities well-prepared for GSCE 2023

In less than 2 weeks, the GSCE examinations of 2023 takes place in the face of active and thorough preparation of localities in the province regarding the readiness and assistance so as to fulfill serious and safe examinations.

Conditions well prepared

In order to organize the exam with assured seriousness, safety and compliance with regulations, localities in addition to establishing exam steering committees have also extended instructions for preparation. In Thuan An city has 1,976 candidates in all taking part in the exam at 4 sites in the area including venues of Trinh Hoai Duc High School, Nguyen Trai High School, Ly Thai To High School and Tran Van On High School. Compared to the exam last year, city saw an increase of 232 candidates this year.

Talking to reporters, Nguyen Thi Hien, Vice Chairwoman of Thuan An city People's Committee said that in order to create the most favorable conditions in all aspects, each locality with testing sites will arrange neighboring schools for parents and candidates to rest, as well as arrange traffic forces to ensure order and safety on the road for candidates. In addition, at the test sites, the Youth Union arranged 30 volunteers each to support and energize the students during the exams. This year, the Youth Union has added a force of motorbike taxis to be on duty to support candidates when there are problems on the way to the exam sites. Currently, the city People's Committee requires schools to continue to review and prepare facilities with thoughtful quality and calculate contingency plans to set up a hotline to provide maximum support for candidates and parents during the exams.

Phu Giao district People's Committee, in order for the exam to take place in accordance with regulations in safety and seriousness with objectivity and the most favorable conditions for candidates in the exams, has directed the units to well perform the tasks and the preparation. Tran Hong Dung, Vice Chairwoman of Phu Giao district People's Committee, said that the district has 3 exam sites located at Phuoc Vinh High School, Phuoc Hoa High School and Phuoc Hoa Secondary School. Currently, high schools and Centers for Vocational and Continuing Education in the district are actively preparing students' knowledge before entering the high school graduation exams. The district People's Committee has also directed relevant sectors to actively coordinate with each other to ensure that the exam takes place smoothly, seriously, safely and in accordance with the exam regulations.

To focus on exam preparation in haste

In the school year of 2022-2023, Minh Hoa Middle and High School of Dau Tieng district has 202 Grade 12 students. Teacher Nguyen Kieu Dien, the school's principal said: “Currently all 12th graders are entering the reviews in haste preparation for the upcoming exams. The school encourages and reminds students that during this exam preparation time, they need to stay healthy and prepare well before the exams. At the same time, the school reminds the students to focus on reviewing in the direction of mastering basic knowledge, advanced knowledge, and strengthening their practice of test-taking skills according to the illustrated topic structure of the Ministry of Education and Training.”

And at Huynh Van Nghe High School in Tan Uyen city, during the hasting stage, teachers guide students to practice synthesizing questions. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai, Vice Principal of the school, said that the school had just held mock exams for the 12th graders on May 27 and June 3. Based on the results of the mock exams, the school analyzes the quality of each student, from which solutions to consolidate the knowledge students are lacking to promote reviews in the remaining time. The GCSE exam in 2023 will take place from June 27 to 30, which will basically stay the same as in 2022.

The province has 29 test sites including 1 backup. This year, the Department of Education and Training continues to set the high school graduation exam scores at the 2nd campus of the provincial Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development. It is expected that in July 17 and 19, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce the results of the high school graduation exams to offer the most favorable time for enrollment to universities and colleges in 2023 and for career guidance.
