Update: 06-01-2023 | 11:39:47

On January 5, Di An city’s People's Committee in collaboration with provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DoCST) held a ceremony to receive the certificate of provincial level-historical and cultural relic for the Ma 35 in Tan Binh ward.

Tan Binh is a revolutionary cradle, strategically located in the two resistance wars against the French and the American invaders. On March 14, 1947, there was a massacre of 35 soldiers and people at Ma 35 relic in Tan Hiep village (one of the then Tan Binh land’s two villages). This is one of the historical proofs of colonial crimes while clearly showing the revolutionary spirit and unyielding will of our army and people.

Over the past years, the local Party Committee, government and mass organizations well realized the task of restoring the Ma 35 relic, contributing to building up a dignified, clean and beautiful relic. Ma 35 was ranked as a provincial historical - cultural relic. Le Van Thai, Deputy Director of provincial DoCST suggested the local authorities, community together with the sector of culture, sports and tourism to set up an appropriate and feasible plan to further promote the value of the relic in social life.
