Mach Mang stream martyr memorial stele is to commemorate martyrs who sacrificed in a raid at Mach Mang stream in 1968. On May 5, 1968, Vietnamese soldiers and guerrilla bravely fought against enemies in a violent struggle at Mach Mang stream. More than 100 Vietnamese cadres, soldiers and people sacrificed in the struggle. During the resistance wars, Tan Binh ward had secret tunnels built by people to help Vietnamese soldiers.

The entire Tan Binh ward has had 11 heroic mothers, 186 martyrs, over 400 wounded soldiers and sick soldiers and revolutionary contributors…
