“Making dreams come true” scholarships awarded to poor-but-excellent pupils

Proctec & Gamble (P&G) Vietnam Company yesterday coordinated with provincial Labor Union to organize a ceremony to award “Making dreams come true” scholarships to the offspring of needy workers with good academic results for the 2017-2018 academic year. Attending the event were Trinh Duc Tai, Head of provincial People’s Committee’s Socio-Cultural Commission together with representatives of provincial Labor Union, Department of Education-Training, Women’s Union and the company’s Directorate.

Particularly, the company awarded 150 scholarships to the offspring of poor workers with good academic results. Each scholarship includes VND1million and learning tools.

Bui Thanh Nhan, Chairman of provincial Labor Union said that the company will continue awarding scholarships to the local pupils in the 2017-2018 academic year. It is known that during the 21 past years, the company offered 2,080 scholarships and more than 33,000 notebooks worth around VND2billion to the local poor-but-excellent pupils, helping them surmount difficulties and further pursue their learning. The company also supported programs on “clean drink water for children”…in the Central Highlands region.
