Making every effort for Binh Duong brandname

On July 12, provincial Party Standing Committee held two meetings to hear reports on the local Covid-19 prevention and control as well as enterprises’ production and business activities in the current period. Surmounting difficulties, maintaining "dual goals"

Reporting to provincial Party Standing Committee at a meeting held in the morning, Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Pernament Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee said that the operations of enterprises in the province have remained very good in comparison with the general context of the region and the whole country. All business scopes in the province increased from 13% - 15%. Nearly 70% of enterprises in industrial production have operated smoothly, bringing the province economic growth in the first half of the year that was higher than the same period last year and the highest among provinces and cities in the Southern key economic region.

Also according to Mr. Dung, nearly 90% of enterprises in the province assessed that their production and business situation in the third quarter of 2021 has remained stable and  better than the second quarter of the year. There are 38% of enterprises with forecast about high production volume; 52% with forecast about stable production volume while 95% of enterprises think that they will increase and keep their labor scale. Regarding key tasks and solutions to boost enterprises’ production and business activities in the second half of the year, provincial People's Committee will drastically prevent Covid-19 pandemic with a scenario against the pandemic at a higher level; focus on removing difficulties, creating all favorable conditions for enterprises to work, ensuring social welfare.

Meanwhile, speaking at an online meeting on the afternoon of July 12 on the local Covid-19 prevention and control, Duong Chi Nam, Deputy Head of the Health Environmental Management Agency under the Standing Department of the Ministry of Health in Binh Duong province said that in recent days, the province has continuously detected Covid-19 cases when visiting medical facilities and in the community. The number of Covid-19 cases in these two regions is increasing continuously. Therefore, there are many smoldering outbreaks in the community, which are about to break out on a large scale in the next few weeks. The next 12 days are considered as a golden time for the local Covid-19 prevention and control. During the period, the drastic implementation of the Prime Minister’s Directive No.16 will help the province slow down infection chains, especially chains and outbreaks that have not been detected yet.

Maintaining Binh Duong brandname

Concluding at the meetings, Mr. Loi emphasized that the Party, government and people in the province promoted the tradition of solidarity, the spirit of determination, proactiveness, flexibility...in the context of many difficulties over the past time. All-level authorities, sectors and the whole political system in the province have focused all their efforts, drastically and synchronously implementing measures with many new, creative and effective ways. The local Party committees and authorities at all levels are consistent in the point of view of  "fighting the pandemic is like fighting enemies", persistently implementing the "dual goals" of pandemic prevention-control, socio-economic development, taking care of peole’s lives. In the spirit of the instruction of the Government, Binh Duong must maintain its brand name, must fight the pandemic more strictly and closely.

In terms of realizing the "dual goals", Mr. Loi said that the province’s current priority is to fight the pandemic. The local political system has to step in the fight against the pandemic. Especially, the local Veterans’Association has to go to every alley, knock on every door, track every subject. The two important stages now are epidemiological investigation, rapid tracing, isolation and rapid and large-scale testing to implement social distancing in accordance with the Prime Minister’s Directive No.16. In these stages, the health sector is the core in sampling, epidemiological investigation and tracing; rapid testing to detect F0 in the community need to be performed.

He also said that extensive testing is needed to ensure production in industrial parks. Workers in some industrial parks and at related lodging facilities must be tested. The province must prepare biological products, quickly test and call on businesses, organizations, clinics and forces to join hands in the fight against the pandemic; spray disinfectant at factories, companies, lodging facilities with F0 cases. The province must improve its testing and treatment capacity to prevent cross-infection in isolation areas, hospitals and enhance its capacity in taking samples for testing. In which, sampling in residential areas should be carried out peripatetically and mobile vaccination is also likely to be realized later. He also agreed that there should be a working group for resources in order to have strict management to avoid negative events.

Regarding production and business, he emphasized that if enterprises are "free from the pandemic", they will operate normally. The province will resolutely not allow enterprises to work if they are not ensured, do not realize rapid antigen testing. The province needs to have a plan to meet with industries’ associations and great investors under the form of distance to exchange, listen to their ideas and prepare activities to attract investment in the post-Covid-19 period. The province must prepare specific plans for the post-Covid-19 period; is not subjective, confused, but must try its best for the Binh Duong brandname...
