Making inspection tours of local minerals

Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment (DoNRE) last year carried out 15 inspection tours in accordance with locals’ complaints; teamed up with provincial Inspection to inspect State management on minerals in Ben Cat town, Dau Tieng and Phu Giao districts; advised provincial People’s Committee on setting up a delegation responsible for inspecting the trade, exploitation and transport of minerals, the use of land and environmental protection from organizations and individuals.

The result of the above inspection tours showed that most violations were involved in illegally exploiting minerals, using land for wrong purposes… Provincial DoNRE also asked for units to opportunely improve their mistakes; gave administrative punishment for infringements and confiscated illegally-exploited minerals with more than VND372mln.
