Many activities to share love with policy beneficiaries

Early July 21, the Red Cross Society of Phuoc Hoa commune in Phu Giao district coordinated with Saigon Nhan Duc 2 General Clinic in Phuoc Hoa commune to organize a program providing free check-ups, medicine and gifts for 100 local policy beneficiary families.

Participating in the program, the local policy beneficiaries were screened by doctors and nurses, measured blood pressure, checked heart rate, given free medicine to treat common diseases and instructed on how to take care of their health at home. The commune’s Red Cross Association also gave each participant a gift worth VND 450,000, including essential necessities. The total value of the program is VND 65 million, funded by the commune’s Red Cross Society, donors in and out of the locality.

*On the morning of the same day, the Red Cross Society of Lai Uyen town in Bau Bang district held a “Zero dong” market-day to support the local people with difficult circumstances.

The market-day gave 105 gift vouchers worth VND1.2 million for people with difficult circumstances. The total value of the market-day is more than VND 117 million, funded by donors to share difficulties with locals, contributing to well implementing the local social welfare policies.

 *Also on this occasion, the “Love” kitchen under Tan Uyen city’s Red Cross Society organized to donate 150 portions of porridge, 150 portions of vegetarian bread to patients and their relatives at the city’s Medical Center. Although each meal was not of great value, it shared a part of the cost during patients’ treatment, encouraging them to recover soon.
