Provincial Department of Industry and Trade has just approved a plan to urgently cut off power to adjust the power output for 2010, said Nguyen Trung Thu, deputy director of provincial Electricity Company.

Under the plan, apart from TDM town’s administrative center area, all areas in the province will be cut off power twice a week, from 6am to 22pm to ensure the operation of the national power grid.

Together with localities nationwide, Binh Duong’s electricity sector will realize power cuts in some areas to ensure the operation of the national power grid

It is known that the national power grid can only provide 270-285 kWh/day from April to June to ensure its operation. The power shortage from the national power  therefore is likely to amount to 10-15mln kWh/day.
