Provincial People's Committee plans to inaugurate the North Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang arterial road and the bridge over the Dong Nai River (Bach Dang 2 bridge) during the ceremony to announce provincial Plan for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. The North Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang arterial road project spans nearly 48 kilometers, with a six-lane design and a maximum speed limit of 80 km/h. The total investment for the project exceeds VND3.8 trillion and it passes through the districts of North Tan Uyen, Phu Giao and Bau Bang. The road is intended to create a linkage between these districts and connect to Binh Phuoc province, thereby improving traffic with surrounding regions, enhancing the efficiency of people’s travelling and goods transport, contributing to the socio-economic development of Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc provinces.
The bridge over the Dong Nai River project, managed by provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, has total investment of over VND 818 billion, with the approach road costing over VND 327 billion and the bridge itself at nearly VND 491 billion. So far, the project has been completed basically.
The bridge is designed to connect Tan Uyen city’s Bach Dang commune in Binh Duong province, with Vinh Cuu district’s Binh Loi commune in Dong Nai province. It aims at facilitating the transportation of goods, promoting the socio-economic development of both provinces, accelerating the development and exchange of laborers, goods and services in the Southeastern region.
