On January 15, Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to listen to Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s reports on the organization of activities to celebrate the Party and celebrate the Lunar New Year 2024; reports of Department of Home Affairs and relevant branches on the list of commendations and rewards for outstanding citizens and athletes in 2023.
It is expected that the program celebrating the Party, the Lunar New Year 2024 will include a series of cultural, artistic and sports activities, such as: spring flower market; Bach Dang flower street; entertainment activities at Thu Dau Mot Park, Provincial Cultural Center; cultural art program to celebrate Tet 2024; Party and Spring celebration activities in districts, towns and cities. The highlight in this series is the 2024 Lunar New Year's Eve Festival program and the commendation of outstanding citizens in 2023.
In addition, agencies and units are assigned to take the lead in advising and organizing meetings on occasion of the 2024 Lunar New Year, such as: meeting of dignitaries of religions and people of all ethnicities; diplomatic corps meeting; press meetings; meeting of writers, artists, and intellectuals; reception of Tet visits from representatives of the Chinese community.
At the meeting, Ha agreed with the above program. He requested units to focus on early implementation of activities and proactively prepare related contents to ensure the progress of programs; the assessment of individuals selected for commendation of outstanding citizens must be truly typical and have worthy achievements. Department of Home Affairs needs to coordinate and gives advice to Provincial Emulation and Reward Council about appropriate reward levels for each field.
