Many meaningful activities to be held at ceremony to mark Hung Kings’ death anniversary 2024

According to the plan recently issued by provincial Organizing Committee of Major Holidays, this year's ceremony to mark Hung Kings’ death anniversary 2024 in the province will be held on April 18, 2024 (March 10 of lunar celendar).

Accordingly, the ceremony will be held under the traditional rites of the nation, in the spirit of solemnity, frugality and practicality towards ancestral roots. The ceremony must attract a large number of officials, people and religious organizations across the province, respectfully offering incense to pay tribute to the Hung Kings who laid the foundation of the country and ancestors who contributed to preserving the country.

This year's program to mark the Hung Kings’death anniversary includes two parts: the incense offering ceremony and the festive part. The incense offering ceremony will take place from 8 am- 9 am at provincial Museum, with contents, including provincial leaders offering incense, flowers and offerings; a speech to commemorate the merits of the Hung Kings; delegates offering incense to commemorate Hung Kings.

The festivive part will take place until 10 p.m. of the same day at Thu Dau Mot park in Thu Dau Mot city. During the festival, there will be such activities as a competition to wrap “banh chung” (square sticky rice cake) and “banh day” (round sticky rice cake); folk games; an art peformance for students, Youth Union members...
