Many meaningful activities to celebrate VRSC’s 76th anniversary

On the occasion of the 76th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRSC) (November 23, 1946 - November 23, 2022), provincial Red Cross Society held a “zero-dong” market-day at its humanitarian point on April 30 street in Thu Dau Mot city’s Phu Hoa ward on the morning of November 23. The event was attended by Huynh Thi Xuan Lam, Vice-President of the VRCS Central Committee; Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Nguyen Hoang Thao, Pernament Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Honorary Chairman of provincial Red Cross Society; Nguyen Van Dong, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Thu Dau Mot city’s Party Committee.

This market-day supported goods and necessities worth VND 1 million each for 500 disabled people, freelancers and those with difficult circumstances affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in Thu Dau Mot city, Thuan An city and Tan Uyen town. At the market-day, provincial Red Cross Society awarded 8 scholarships worth VND 3.2 million each to students with difficult circumstances.

*Early November 23, Thu Dau Mot city’s Red Cross Society held a "zero dong” market-day- spring of kindness".

The event was attended by Huynh Thi Xuan Lam, Vice-President of the VCRS Central Committee; Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation. The city’s Red Cross Society supported 200 gift vouchers worth VND500,000 each for difficult people; awarded 8 scholarships, including 1 bicycle and 1 million VND in cash, to poor-but-excellent students.

On this occasion, Mrs. Lam and Mr. Loi attended a ceremony handing over a “red cross” house to Le Duy Anh in need of housing in Hiep Thanh ward.

*On the morning of the same day, Ben Cat town’s Red Cross Society held a "zero dong” market-day.

The market-day was attended by Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee. At the market-day, the organizers provided necessities for 300 needy people in Ben Cat town.

On this occasion, provincial Red Cross Society awarded 8 scholarships worth VND 3.3 million each to disadvantaged students in the town. Along with that, provincial Red Cross Society handed over a “red cross” house to Truong Van Lam in need of housing in Chanh Phu Hoa ward’s quarter 4.

*Provincial Red Cross Society also coordinated with Dau Tieng district to organize a "zero-dong” market-day to serve people living and working in 2 communes of An Lap, Long Tan.

The market-day was attended by Nguyen Minh Thuy, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission; Nguyen Hoang Minh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of provincial Military Command.

At the market-day, the organizers and donors awarded 8 scholarships to disadvantaged students and 250 gifts worth VND1million each to disadvantaged people in 2 communes of An Lap and Long Tan. Next, the organizers and donors presented a “red cross” house worth VND 115 million to Nguyen Van Ngot's household in An Lap commune’s Bau Khai hamlet.

*Early November 23, Tan Uyen town’s Red Cross Society coordinated with provincial Red Cross Society to organize a “zero dong” market-day - the spring of the year of the Rabbit 2023" and a program on “giving strength to school".

The event was attended by Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice- Chairman of provincial People's Committee. The "zero dong” market-day supported 150 disadvantaged households and workers in Tan Hiep, Thai Hoa, Tan Phuoc Khanh, and Tan Vinh Hiep wards.

On this occasion, the town awarded 28 scholarships worth VND 3.2 million each to poor-but-excellent students.

*Early November 23, a "zero dong” market-day took place at Tan Dinh commune’s Culture and Sports Center in North Tan Uyen district, in attendance of Vo Van Ba, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs.

The market-day supported 200 people with difficult circumstances. At the market-day, the organizers awarded 8 scholarships worth VND1 million each and bicycles to 8 local students with difficult circumstances. On this occasion, Vo Van Ba ​​and local leaders presented a “red cross” house to Nguyen Thi Kim Tieng's household with difficult circumstance in Tan Dinh commune’s hamlet 3.

*Early November 23, Di An city’s Red Cross Society coordinated with the People's Committee of Tan Binh ward to organize a "zero dong” market-day to support 200 gift vounchers worth VND 500,000 each for the local people with difficult circumstances. The event was attended by Bui Thanh Nhan, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Di An city’s Party Committee.

On this occasion, provincial Red Cross Standing Committee awarded 8 bicycles, gifts and scholarships worth VND 26.4 million to students with difficult circumstances at schools in Di An city. Along with that, provincial Red Cross Society and Di An city held a ceremony to hand over a “red cross” house to Tong Thi Ly's family in Tan Binh ward’s Tan Phuoc quarter in  Di An city.

On the same day, the remaining localities in the province also held "zero dong” market-days for the local disadvantaged people.
