Many officers and soldiers of An Phuoc prison in Phu Giao take part in voluntary blood donation

On September 27, Phu Giao district’s Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization coordinated with Ho Chi Minh city-based Cho Ray Hospital’s Blood Transfusion Center and the Supervision Board of An Phuoc prison in An Thai commune to organize the 6th voluntary blood donation of 2023.

The blood donation campaign attracted nearly 150 officers, soldiers and employees working at An Phuoc Prison and Education - Job Creation School No. 3 of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteer Force. Through medical examination, the Organization Board of the campaign received 139 units of blood with each unit being 350 milliters of blood.

Since early this year, the district’s Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation has mobilized and received 2,020 out of 2,050 units of blood, reaching 98.5% of the target assigned by provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Mobilization.
