Many scientific projects cater for socio-economic development

The provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Nguyen Van Hiep chaired a meeting with the local Union of Technology-Science Associations to hear about reports of the union’s results and activities done over time.

Since its inception, the union has won a development in both quantity and quality. As of 2009, the union admitted 7 more membership associations with more than 3,900 members, lifting total membership associations up to 18 with 7,500 members.

The operational scale of the membership associations includes fields of tech-science, human society and economy. Its scientific officials and members have carried out many projects of scientific research serving for the local socio-economic development.

Of these, the union conducted many highlighted projects such as ‘Training knowledge on environmental protection for teachers’, Enhancing knowledge on environmental protection’, ‘Protecting copyright of Thu land lacquer village’, ‘Applying low capacity laser equipment at medical stations’, ‘Epidemics safety’ and among others.
