Currently, there are 2 cooperatives participating in the Project of supporting cooperatives in production and business associated with the value chain supported by the Vietnam Cooperative Union with a total amount of more than VND 444 million.
Accordingly, Tan My Fruit Cooperative in North Tan Uyen district, which is specialized in growing citrus fruit trees (grapefruit, oranges) with a total area of 60 hectares, has been supported with funding to participate in the project with the amount of VND150million to invest in its automatic irrigation system, fertilizer, computers. Thanh Kien Guava Cooperative in Phu Giao district, which is specialized in growing guava trees with a total area of more than 15 hectares, is investing in organic farming. So far, the cooperative has obtained the quality management certificate of ISO 9001 and signed a contract supplying products for the Japanese market. The initial effect is to reduce input costs for cooperatives by 18-22%, contributing to promoting the expansion of cultivated areas, creating more jobs and increasing incomes for members and employees.
