On November 15, Binh Duong University coordinated with provincial Red Cross Society and Ho Chi Minh city-based Cho Ray hospital’s Blood Transfusion Center to organize a voluntary blood donation festival among officials, teachers and students.
The festival attracted the participation of many officials, teachers and students of the school, sharing their blood in their bodies with those who need blood for medical treatment. As a result, the organizers received 217 units of blood and handed over the amount of blood to Cho Ray hospital’s Blood Transfusion Center for preservation, further screening to serve emergency and treatment at medical facilities.
The voluntary blood donation movement in the province has spread among people from all strata. Binh Duong University is one of the units with many positive contributions to the local movement. To date, the school has coordinated with relevant units to mobilize and organize 31 voluntary blood donation stages
