Maruichi Sun Steel Joint Stock Company takes good care of workers' lives

The Trade Union of Maruichi Sun Steel Joint Stock Company not only focuses on increasing workers' income but also pays special attention to their meals and rest time. The union works closely with the Board of Directors to establish allowances and rewards, aiming to ensure a good and happy life for all employees in the company.

Take care of both physical and mental health

Maruichi Sun Steel Joint Stock Company (Di An City) has been operating since 1998, specializing in the production of iron and steel, corrugated iron and steel pipes. Currently, the company has more than 500 employees, including 85 female workers.

Throughout the years, the Board of Directors and the Executive Board of the Company's Trade Union have consistently prioritized the well-being of union members and workers. They have provided a spacious kitchen to serve workers, with each meal costing 45,000 VND, ensuring adequate nutrition. Additionally, 100% of workers participate in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance. Female workers are provided with a separate rest room after work, fully equipped with amenities such as TV, books, massage chairs, yoga equipment, and many other entertainment games.

During seven years as Chairman of the Trade Union at Maruichi Sun Steel Joint Stock Company, Mr. Nguyen Tai Duong has made many contributions to building an increasingly strong grassroots trade union.

In the collective labor agreement, the trade union has proposed several beneficial opinions for employees, such as providing bonuses for major holidays and Tet holidays throughout the year. Additionally, the company holds an annual ceremony to honor and reward employees who have worked for 10 to 25 years, aiming to encourage long-term commitment to the company.

Accordingly, employees working for 10 years or more will receive a bonus of 3 million VND/person; 15 years is 4 million VND/person; 20 years is 5 million VND/person; 25 years is 8 million VND/person. When an employee has 15 years or more of seniority and reaches retirement age, the company will give them a gift worth 5 million VND or more. The company also provides support for funerals in the event of the passing of family members on both sides of the couple. In the unfortunate event of the passing of an employee, the family will receive a minimum of 10 million VND in support....

To improve the well-being of workers at Maruichi Sun Steel Joint Stock Company, we cannot overlook the valuable contribution of the Executive Board of the Trade Union. Their efforts in proposing and implementing welfare regulations and fostering a positive relationship with the Board of Directors are essential in securing the rightful benefits of employees. Mr. Nguyen Tai Duong, the Chairman of the Company's Trade Union, consistently emphasizes the role of union leadership at the grassroots level.

Mr. Duong stated that after seven years as a union leader, despite facing many challenges, he consistently improved his knowledge and negotiation skills. He also made sure to stay updated on the law and understand the role of the union organization in order to protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers.

Mr. Duong's professional knowledge and skillful work have contributed to the stable development of the company's trade union activities. He actively listens to his colleagues' opinions, observes and understands the circumstances and work of each worker, and provides timely support and assistance. Additionally, he consistently proposes effective implementation of grassroots democracy regulations and promotes various emulation movements within the company every year, such as: the emulation movement of good workers - creative workers; good at public affairs and good at housework... is always positively responded to by union members and workers.

He himself has developed three initiatives and creations with a profit of over 50 million VND/year for the company, contributing to reducing defective products, saving raw materials, ensuring product quality, and creating brand reputation for the business.

Mr. Nguyen Tai Duong has achieved great success and has been awarded numerous accolades at various levels. In July 2024, he was honored by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as the exemplary Chairman of the National Trade Union for the fifth time.
