Mass mobilization gets more and more practical and effective

Last weekend, a delegation from the Mass Mobilization Central Committee, led by Mai Van Chinh, a member of the Central Party Committee and Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission, conducted a working visit to Binh Duong province. The visit focused on assessing the province’s implementation of central directives on mass organization since the start of the current term. During the working visit, the delegation acknowledged and spoke highly of Binh Duong’s achievements in mass mobilization, contributing to helping the province overcome challenges, fostering the local socio-economic recovery and achieve the local political objectives.

Strength from consensus

At the meeting, Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation shared that during the first years of the term, difficulties outpaced advantages, with the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent armed conflicts worldwide affecting the province’s socio-economic progress and the well-being of people. Despite these obstacles, Binh Duong has gradually overcome difficulties and restored growth by fostering solidarity, high determination across the political system, active participation of businesses and the collective support of the public. Provincial Party Committee Secretary emphasized that without public consensus and support, Binh Duong would not be able to surmount these challenges and continue its development. He asserted that mass mobilization  by  fostering unity and consensus among the people, plays a crucial role in achieving the province’s political goals.

Reporting at the meeting, Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Department stated that from the beginning of the tenure, provincial Party Committee has concretized and directed provincial Mass Mobilization Department to follow the Central Mass Mobilization Commission’s Action Program No. 01 and the Action Program for implementing the resolutions of the 11th provincial Party Congress, setting up an action plan on mass mobilization for the 2020-2025 tenure. Provincial Party Committee has consistently directed Party committees at all levels to review and ensure thorough, effective implementation of the goals and tasks for mass mobilization set out for the tenure. The Party Committees of districts, cities and affiliated Party Committees have been instructed to lead and guide grassroots Party organizations in formulating detailed plans and action programs and in organizing meetings to disseminate mass mobilization to cadres, Party members and people from all strata.

The results of these mass mobilization efforts across the political system have fostered unity and consensus in society, enhanced emulation movements, public campaigns and mobilized resources from people and the business community to achieve the socio-economic development goals set forth by the 11th provincial Party congress.

Mass mobilization must avoid formalism

Over the past time, mass mobilization work was comprehensively and deeply implemented at the grassroots level throughout the province, achieving practical and effective results. Numerous projects, movements and mass mobilization activities received strong support from officials, Party members and people, with focus on the implementation of the Project No. 02 from provincial Party Standing Committee on provincial “Mass mobilization in building a cultural and civilized lifestyle” for the 2021-2025 period as well as the “Civilized Saturday” campaign. With its various meaningful activities, this project attracted widespread participation from officials, soldiers, Party members, Youth Union members, association members and people from all strata, creating significant impact and fostering high levels of public consensus.

This project showed regular activities in the lives of residents, encompassing the entire task for mass mobilization of provincial Party Committee throughout the term. It serves as a foundation for implementing and evaluating the responsibility of each organization and individual within provincial political system at all levels to meet the goals and tasks of mass mobilization at each stage. The project also reflected the dedication and determination of provincial Party Standing Committee to innovate leadership for mass mobilization across the province. Provincial Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Loi emphasized that mass mobilization must be effective and practical, avoiding formalism  and should measure success by the well-being, satisfaction and happiness of people.

In addition to implementing the Project 02, the “Civilized Saturday” campaign, providing guidance on digital transformation, various departments and organizations across the province developed practical programs and movements. Particularly, provincial Labor Union focused on improving the task of taking care of workers, protecting their legitimate rights and interests. Provincial Red Cross Society organized “Zero-dong markets”. Provincial Fatherland Front Committee undertook numerous initiatives to support the poor. Each organization engaged in activities with specific products, thereby contributing to spreading the spirit of joining hands and contributing to the community, creating social consensus and uniting people to carry out the local socio-economic development programs.

Speaking at a meeting with provincial Party Standing Committee, Mai Van Chinh, member of the Central Party Committee and Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Committee acknowledged and spoke highly of the province’s impressive achievements in mass mobilization since the beginning of the term. He noted that despite challenges from Covid-19 pandemic and ongoing global conflicts affecting the local socio-economic development, Binh Duong has made significant strides in recovery.
