Meaning of Binh Duong Green Book

Provincial People's Committee has just issued the Document No. 2525/KH-UBND on organizing the assessment and development of the 2022 Binh Duong Green Book. This document clearly stipulates the criteria and methods of evaluating businesses registering for participation. Ensuring publicity and transparency with the expectation of finding and honoring businesses that well comply with regulations on environmental protection, business activities and contributions to the common development of the local socio-economic development.

Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee said that the 2022 Binh Duong Green Book will be evaluated and scored based on 3 main criteria, including: (1) Assessment of compliance with environmental regulations and industrial hygiene; (2) Assessment of compliance with environmental records, procedures and related matters; (3) Incentives related to solutions to apply science and technology to production, business and environmental treatment activities...

The Organization Board of the 2022 Binh Duong Green Book also clearly stipulates that only businesses meeting criterion (1) will be considered and scored for criteria (2) and (3). This clearly shows the province’s determination and orientation of developing a green, clean and sustainable economy in the future when action programs related to the cause of environmental protection are brought to the same frame of reference, a certain standard. According to the above exclusion method, enterprises after meeting the criterion (1) will continue to be evaluated and scored in criteria (2) and (3).  Enterprises with total scores of 85 or above will be named in the 2022 Binh Duong Green Book and awarded the certificates of merit and the Green Book mementoes by Chairman of provincial People's Committee.

Representative of the Advisory Council for the evaluation and construction of the 2022 Binh Duong Green Book said that the evaluation of the council will be implemented objectively, fairly, publicly and transparently. This is the basis, the premise and also the demonstration of Binh Duong's determination in pursuing a policy on green, clean and sustainable economic development.
