Measures of payments supporting Tet to servicing people in COVID-19 treatment and concentrated quarantine areas agreed

In the morning of January 10, at Binh Duong provincial Administration Center, Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to Department of Finance reporting on the plan to spend on the 2022 Lunar New Year in the areas of the province.

Based on the actual situation of the province and on the occasion of the Lunar New Year - the Year of the Tiger in 2022, Binh Duong will spend additional support for those who have been serving in quarantine and concentrated COVID-19 treatment areas. Through the joint review, the Department of Finance reported that 685 people were eligible for such support with the proposed expenditure of VND 1 million a person. It is expected that the province's total expenditure for the Lunar New Year in 2022 is VND 228 billion 580 million, increasing by 7% from 2021. Objects of and other spending levels will remain basically the same as the 2021 Lunar New Year. In which, the highest spending is VND 4 million and the lowest VND 500,000 a person.

At the meeting, the delegates proposed to increase the Tet support spending for those serving in the quarantine and concentrated COVID-19 treatment areas to VND 2 million a person. Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh agreed with the plan as proposed by the Department of Finance. At the same time, he requested the Department of Finance to coordinate with relevant units to make statistics and review to ensure that Tet support is timely and to the right beneficiaries.
