On August 29, Provincial Department of Health informed that the number of Covid-19 infection cases in the province continued to increase rapidly. During solely the past 24 hours, the whole province recorded 117 Covid-19 cases, collected and treated 38 more patients. Accumulated over the past 3 weeks, the province has 538 Covid-19 patients being treated at medical facilities.

While the Covid-19 case number is increasing and the holiday of September 2nd will be long, Doctor Huynh Minh Chin, Deputy Director of Provincial Department of Health, advised people to well implement the message "2K + vaccine, medicine, treatment + technology + people's consciousness and other measures". According to Doctor Huynh, the Covid-19 is still complicated and unpredictable, the province has recorded cases of subvariants BA.5, BA.4. The currently licensed, used Covid-19 vaccines are still highly protective, reducing the risk of severe disease to all SARS-CoV-2 variants.
