Update: 28-06-2024 | 12:14:36

On June 27, Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Uyen City in coordination with the Traditional Liaison Committee of Phuoc Thanh province organized a meeting to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of Phuoc Thanh province (June 27, 1961 - June 27, 2024). Attending the meeting were former Politburo member and former President Nguyen Minh Triet; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Propagation and Education Committee; former provincial leaders through different periods, revolutionary veterans.

At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the heroic history of Phuoc Thanh province. In 1961, right after its establishment, the Eastern Military Region Command advocated an attack on the Phuoc Thanh military sub-region to destroy the Saigon military and police forces, take control of the sub-region and the provincial capital, free political prisoners, destroy the attempt to use Phuoc Thanh as a shield and springboard to attack War Zone D. 63 years ago, together with the revolutionary armed forces, the army and people of Phuoc Thanh province achieved a resounding victory - Phuoc Thanh victory. This was a victory of great significance as the armed forces attacked for the first time to liberate a provincial capital, smashing the enemy's grip.

The Phuoc Thanh victory is a great motivation to encourage the army and people of Tan Uyen city, Phu Giao district, and Bac Tan Uyen district in the cause of innovation, building and protecting the Fatherland today. As promoting the heroic historical tradition of Phuoc Thanh province in the past, during the reform period, Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Tan Uyen City always lead and direct socio-economic development work together with ensuring political security, social order and safety, promoting synergy, turning Tan Uyen City into a civilized, rich, beautiful, and compassionate city...
