Meeting to launch environmental and personal hygiene against epidemics under preparation

On the afternoon of July 20, provincial Department of Health held a meeting to agree with other departments, agencies and assign tasks to prepare for a meeting to launch environmental and personal hygiene to prevent and control epidemics and respond to the 2022 patriotic hygiene movement to improve people's health.

According to provincial Department of Health, the meeting is expected to take place on July 25 in Thu Dau Mot city, chaired by the Ministry of Health and provincial People's Committee. In addition to the meeting, the province will organize a field trip to localities where there are dengue fever outbreaks, a parade to propagandize pandemic prevention and control, and simultaneously organize communication activities before and after the meeting. The meeting aims at raising people's awareness about environmental sanitation, killing larvae to prevent dengue fever, personal hygiene to prevent Covid-19 epidemic, foot-and-mouth disease, protecting the community’s health.

As of July 20, the whole province recorded 8,567 cases of dengue fever. Particularly, Tan Uyen town recorded 1,793 cases, Di An city with 1,444 cases while Thuan An city, Thu Dau Mot city, Ben Cat town each recorded more than 1,100 cases. The remaining localities recorded from more than 160 cases to more than 500 cases.
