Memorandum signed for environment protection project

A memorandum on project of environment protection in Bung Cu spring’s downstream was signed at the venue of Binh Duong People’s Committee hall by the trio of Department of Natural Resources and Environment Vice Director, Project Manager of State’s Management of province-level environment protection, and Tan Uyen District’s People’s Committee. The environment protection project in Bung Cu spring holds a major role in environment protection to enable sustainable development.

 Bung Cu spring is sourced from Thai Hoa Town in Tan Uyen and Binh Chuan Ward in Thuan An and is exploited as rain water drainage and supply to farms; however, the spring is burden with waste water from over 100 enterprises and nearly 1,600 hostel homes. The spring has soon become heavily polluted.

the project aims for environment management plan for the spring flow to control waste sources and reduce pollution; the project also aims to propose measures to improve water quality as well as qualification of officers in charge of the tasks.

on the same day, the department opened a discussing session to evaluate enterprises in ‘green list’ in accordance with Decision No. 03/2011/QD-UBND of the People’s Committee.
