On Sunday afternoon, at lodging house No. 250 in quarter 7 of Chanh Phu Hoa ward, Ben Cat city, after dinner, children gathered in the yard to participate in a program that "blue-shirt brothers and sisters" were about to organize. Today, the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Young Pioneer Council, the Provincial Supporting Center for Youth Workers, and the Provincial Children's House jointly organized the program "Warm Mid-Autumn Festival, sending love".

To open the event, the youth union members organized folk games, a moonlit feast ceremony, etc. The children received mooncakes and colorful lanterns. This boarding house has 250 rooms, with hundreds of children of young workers. Ngo Thi Cam Tu, 11 years old, born in An Giang, said: “Today I got to participate in many useful activities and also received many gifts, cakes, and lanterns to bring home…”. Ms. Tran Kim Mong, a worker at My Phuoc 2 Industrial Park, shared: “Every year during Mid-Autumn Festival, I let my child hang around the boarding house. This year, this program is so meaningful. Hopefully next year, the units will continue to organize useful programs like this."

At Nguyen Van Teo Lodging House (Chanh Loc 1 Quarter, Chanh My Ward, Thu Dau Mot City), Chanh My Ward Youth Union also coordinated with the Provincial Youth Activity Center to organize a "Moonlight Night for Children". The program attracted the participation of children of young workers living in boarding houses. The program offered children many useful activities. In addition, the children also received many gifts and cakes and had a more fulfilling Mid-Autumn Festival...

At Nguyen Hoa lodging house (Phu Tho Ward, Thu Dau Mot City), the Provincial Youth Activity Center also brought the children here a memorable Mid-Autumn Festival. These were activities for children associated with Mr. Lier and Ms. Moon; meaningful gifts were given to the children, especially those living in difficult circumstances. The spirit of solidarity, sharing and love has spread, creating a warm and connected space among members.

Variety of caring activities

This year's Mid-Autumn Festival, the Provincial Youth Activity Center carried out a series of activities, “Weekend Playground," at boarding houses in the province, bringing a new and different atmosphere compared to previous years. Mr. Thai Kien Thuan, Director of the Provincial Youth Activity Center, said: “In addition to the Mid-Autumn Festival activities for worker’s children, the program “Weekend Playground” was also for parents, which included consulting activities for young workers.

Accordingly, within the program, we integrated job introduction consultation sessions to help young workers grasp suitable career opportunities. In addition, the center also provided legal advice and consultations on reproductive health, marriage and family, helping workers better understand their rights and obligations as well as know how to care for and protect their health...".

In Thuan An City, this year, Thuan An Youth Union not only organized Mid-Autumn Festival activities in lodging houses but also cooperated with Aeon Mall Binh Duong Commercial Center to organize the program "Mid-Autumn Festival of Love" with many meaningful activities for 100 children who are students of charity classes and children of disadvantaged workers. Children experienced fun activities, watched cartoons at CGV cinema, and had lunch at the center's food court. In addition, the children also received 100 gifts including moon cakes, lanterns and many other gifts from the program's Organizing Committee...

Mr. Le Tuan Anh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial HYPO Council, said: “This year, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, the Provincial HYPO Council, together with public service units, organized many activities, especially visiting and giving gifts to children, focusing on children of the youth in boarding houses. According to the plan, this year's Mid-Autumn Festival program will reach out and give 2,000 gifts to children in the area. The Provincial Youth Union’s Standing Committee also directed District, Town and City Youth Unions in the province to simultaneously organize caring activities. As for the Provincial Youth Union, on the evening of the 14th lunar month, they will organize a Mid-Autumn Festival activity for children in the center of Thu Dau Mot City. The Provincial Supporting Center for Youth Workers will also hold a Mid-Autumn night for 500 children of young workers in Ben Cat City”.
