Mid-Autumn gifts worth VND200mln for children

Provincial Buddhist Sangha and Red Cross Society co-held the Mid-Autumn Festival 2012 named “Vang trang yeu thuong” (Loving moon) on the evening of Sept.27, luring the participation of more than 1,000 local children and parents.

Coming to the festival, children had a chance to enjoy vegetarian meals and special art performances. They were also presented gifts worth VND200,000 each, including confectionary, notebooks, lanterns, cash…It is known that these gifts has a total value of more than VND200mln.

This is the first time provincial Buddhist Sangha has organized such full-moon festival for children across the province, aiming to create an useful playground for them.
