Over the years, Binh Duong has creatively applied the Central policies in accordance with the local practical situation, and effectively utilized advantages, potential and resources in foreign affairs in order to accelerate the province's economic growth and deeper integration into the international economy.

To implement the 10th Provincial Party Resolution for the 2015 - 2020, all levels, sectors and localities in the province have actively promoted external activities, programs, strengthened trade promotion and investment cooperation, expanded friendship and international cooperation to effectively serve the province's socio-economic development goals. Le Phu Hoa, Director of provincial Department of Foreign Affairs, assessed that in recent years, the province's external affairs had gained impressive results, including the effective implementation of foreign economic activities and international cooperation; organized thoughtful reception of high-level delegations and successfully held many conferences and seminars on international scale.

As a result, Binh Duong's prestige is increasingly enhanced. Binh Duong has been one of the attractive and reliable destinations of delegations, international organizations and foreign investors. On average, each year provincial leaders welcome dozens of high-level delegations, diplomatic delegations, leaders of multinational companies and large foreign business delegations. In addition, each year there are hundreds of delegations of international organizations, press agencies, foreign radio - television, NGOs to visit, learn about economic development, culture - society, survey investment environment and visit industrial parks, production and business establishments in the province.

Besides, Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee direct functional departments and branches to promote foreign economic activities, strengthen trade promotion and investment cooperation. For many years, Provincial People's Committee has directed departments and branches to actively cooperate with enterprises in the province to hold many conferences on investment promotion at home and abroad, in which focus on inviting investment from potential markets, such as: United States, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and European countries. In particular, Binh Duong always assists enterprises in order to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in production and business of FDI enterprises. Over the years, Provincial People's Committee has actively collaborated with Consulate General of other countries and foreign business associations to organize many dialogues, meetings with FDI enterprises.

The meetings have made a good impression upon businesses, in the spirit of straightforwardness, openness, cooperation and mutual trust, many difficulties and obstacles were solved, and thereby strengthening businesses’ trust and promote production, business and investment cooperation. These dynamic and effective foreign economic activities have helped attracting more and more foreign investment projects into Binh Duong province.

In addition to foreign economic activities, Binh Duong also actively expanded friendship cooperation with foreign localities and partners. Binh Duong has friendly cooperation with 10 foreign countries. On the basis of cooperation agreements with foreign localities, the province actively implemented exchange activities, surveys, learning experiences, cultural and social exchange and cooperation with investment promotion organizations in order to expand friendly relations, thereby contributing to promoting external economic activities and boosting foreign investment calling and attraction.

In order to introduce the potential and opportunities for investment cooperation of the province as well as to meet, exchange, share and learn experience in management, construction planning and urban development to serve the socio-economic development goals and building smart city, in recent years Binh Duong province has actively hosted many conferences and programs on international scale. Continuously in 2018 and 2019, with the approval of the Prime Minister and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Binh Duong province successfully hosted 4 major and prime important international conferences. It was WTA Summit held in October 2018 with the participation of nearly 1,000 domestic and foreign guests. The Asia Horasis Meeting 2018 was held in November 2018 and gathered more than 700 high-level national and international delegates. This conference counseled, oriented and completed institutional and policy on foreign investment, was held in February 2019 with the participation of more than 650 high-level domestic and foreign delegates. With comprehensive, rich and diverse successes in foreign activities of the province, in the coming time Binh Duong is confident to continue promoting internal resources, improving business environment and investment cooperation. To actively integrate internationally, strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation so that Binh Duong continues to be an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors, is a reliable venue for organizing foreign affairs events on national and international scale to strengthen local connections with localities, enterprises with enterprises and foreign partners, contributing to the socio-economic development goals of the province.
