Update: 16-03-2012 | 00:00:00

World No. 10 badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh thrashed World No. 29 Parupalli Kashyap from India 2-0 at the second round of the 2012 Badminton Swiss Open on March 14.

He was automatically qualified for the second round as his competitor, Wacha Przemyslaw from Poland, decided to quit the match after only 10 minutes.

The Vietnamese player, who was in a good physical form, easily finished the first set 21-13 and won the second one 21-18, despite his opponent’s effort to end the match after 38 minutes.

Earlier, Minh had two wins and two losses after their four confrontations.

His next rival will be World No. 17 Hans Kristian Vittinghus from Denmark. Minh will face a tough challenge in this match as some Danish players have advanced very fast recently.
