Mobilizing all resources and strength to fight Covid-19 pandemic

Update: 08-07-2021 | 11:26:51

The developments of Covid-19 pandemic are very complicated with the high risk of spreading on a large scale, especially in industrial and service cities in the southern region of the province such as Thuan An and Di An cities. These localities are focusing all their efforts on stamping out the pandemic as quickly as possible.

Mobilizing all resources, strength for Covid-19 prevention and control

As the province’s southern gateway, bordering Ho Chi Minh city, Di An and Thuan An cities have enjoyed benefits from the planning and development of this locality. However, this is also a risk that makes the localities face difficulties in curbing Covid-19 pandemic. In fact, in recent days, the movement of a large number of population between Thuan An, Di An and Ho Chi Minh cities, Dong Nai province has caused many areas to record more F0 cases with complicated epidemiology. This is also one of the reasons that makes the local task of tracing to stamp out the pandemic face difficulties, leading the risk of pandemic outbreaks in residential areas and at factories.

Taking samples for Covid-18 testing in Thuan An city’s Lai Thieu ward

Source from Di An city’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, as of July 7, this locality had nearly 150 cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus. Among them, more than half are workers with complicated epidemiology because having often movement between Di An city, Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province. In order to control the pandemic well, Di An city has applied social distancing under the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 16 in recent days. Accordingly, the city has required people to limit travelling, not to gather in large numbers…in order to soon find F0 cases in the community and take them to isolation areas for treatment and stop the source of pandemic transmission in the community.

Whilst, Thuan An city has also mobilized its whole political system to fight the pandemic. Particularly, the city’s anti-Covid-19 forces have been deployed everywhere to ensure timely tracing and epidemiological investigation for areas linked to Covid-19 cases in recent days... Other working groups are also continuously taking samples for mass testing to find and make isolation for suspected Covid-19 cases.

As localities with many industrial parks and compounds with the rate of land tenancy reaching 100% and Covid-19 pandemic that is tending to infiltrate into factories, Thuan An and Di An cities must make temporary blockade, medical isolation for many companies and factories after recording Covid-19 cases. Being present in areas where medical isolation is being carried out in Thuan An city, we noted that although the city’s anti-Covid-19 force must be deployed thinly, the local tracing, epidemiological investigation, sampling for testing, isolation coordination in industrial parks and compounds have still taken place quickly and opportunely.

Making solidarity to overcome pandemic

The complicated developments of Covid-19 pandemic have made enterprises ‘production and business activities to be halted. The daily lives of people are also affected. Stamping out Covid-19 pandemic not only requires the efforts by anti-pandemic forces, but also the contributions by people from all strata. Accordingly, joining hands from many forces is very necessary to ensure resources in the fight against the pandemic.

While the local authorities at all levels have had to spread their forces for Covid-19 prevention and control, organizations, businesses and people also need to join hands in the fight against the pandemic. Raising the awareness and responsibility of each individual, business and organization will be a meaningful action for the current fight against the pandemic. SARS-CoV-2 virus can only spread and break out when it has the opportunity to move from one subject to another. Therefore, seriously implementing the "5K" message of the Ministry of Health: Khau trang (facemask)- (Khu khuan) disinfection- (Khoang cach) distance- (Khong tu tap) no gathering – (Khai bao y te) health declaration is very necessary and a fundamental solution at present.

Being present at many hotspots on Covid-19 pandemic in Di An and Thuan An cities in the past few days, we have recorded many changes in people's daily lives. Accordingly, in contrast to the image of crowded streets and markets in the past, the local atmosphere has become quieter and less bustling. The local people are also aware of the danger and heavy impact of the pandemic, so they have limited going out, even their frequency of going to the market has decreased significantly. Meanwhile, many factories and enterprises have begun implementing the “three on-site” campaign of  “eating - sleeping - working" at factories to ensure regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control. Although there will be certain inconveniences, it is believed that these will be the small pieces that create a victory in the current tough fight against the pandemic.

Dao Tran Dong, Permanent Vice-Chairman of province-based Industrial Parks’ Trade Union said that in the face of the complicated developments of the pandemic into industrial parks and compounds, the Trade Union has encouraged workers to keep calm for safe production. In addition, the Trade Union has also coordinated with localities to mobilize and call for  enterprises to immediately carry out proactive measures against the pandemic. In case of being necessary, enterprises can mobilize workers to close production in order to ensure production and business activities not to be stagnated and affect workers' incomes.
