Yesterday (August 26), the first working day of the 10th provincial Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) Congress for the 2024-2029 tenure, officially took place, with the participation of 315 official delegates representing the great unity bloc, people from all strata, ethnic groups and religions in the province at provincial Conference and Exhibition Center.

In his opening speech, Nguyen Van Danh, Member of the National Assembly, Member of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the 9th provincial VFF Committee stated that the congress took place at a time when the world and regional situation presented many advantages and challenges intertwined. Therefore, the congress needed to uphold wisdom and experience, engage in discussions and propose solutions to meet requirements and goals. Particularly, provincial VFFs at all levels need to strongly renew themselves, clearly define objectives and action programs, meet the requirements of consolidating and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc and successfully implementing the resolutions of the congress. With the theme of "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", during the first working session, the congress reached a consensus to elect the Presidium and Secretary of the congress, approve the congress's agenda and rules, report on the situation of participating delegates at the 10th provincial VFF congress; summarize the results of implementing the action program of the 9th provincial VFF congress of the 2019-2024 tenure, outline orientations, objectives  and action programs for the 10th tenure from 2024 to 2029; review the activities of the 9th provincial VFF Committee and Standing Committee during the 2019-2024 tenure...

During the past tenure, overcoming difficulties and challenges, provincial VFF at all levels continuously innovated and creatively organized activities and movements. Many good models and effective methods emerged, focusing on grassroots, promoting and mobilizing many resources among the people and society, effectively contributing to the Front's work in particular and the development of the locality in general.

Mobilizing the strength of great unity

Tran Thi Hong Hanh, Permanent Vice-Chairwoman of provincial VFF Committee reported on the results of implementing the action program of provincial VFF during the 2019-2024 term, stating that with regular, timely inspection and guidance from the Central VFF Standing Committee, comprehensive leadership and direction from the Party Committees, and close coordination with authorities, provincial VFFs at all levels effectively played their leading role, reached consensus with member organizations and effectively implemented the resolutions of the congress, achieving notable results.

Under the campaign of "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" in conjunction with the movement of "The entire province joining hands to build new-style rural areas" and the "Mass mobilization work in participating in building cultural - civilized lifestyles" project in the province for the 2021-2025 period, provincial VFFs at all levels have focused on implementing criteria for building civilized urban areas, new-style rural communes, advanced new-style rural areas, model new-style rural areas... To date, the province has maintained 100% of communes meeting new-style rural standards, 29 out of 38 communes meeting advanced new-style rural standards, 1 commune meeting model new-style rural standards; 50% of districts and cities meeting new-style rural standards and completing the task of building new-style rural areas...

During the 2019-2024 period, in addition to the State budget resources allocated for the construction of civilized urban and new-style rural areas, provincial VFF Committees at all levels mobilized nearly VND 650 billion in socialized funds and over VND 133 billion from the community through specific, practical actions such as contributing working days, donating land, works on land and funding works repairing, upgrading concrete roads, installing lighting systems on streets, planting trees...
