Update: 04-11-2023 | 16:39:25

Early November 3, North Tan Uyen district held a ceremony to launch the model on "Medical examination and treatment using chip-based citizen identification cards (CICs), instead of using health insurance cards”.

For the model implemented effectively, the district’s Medical Center previously arranged staff to guide patients and their families to perform medical examination and treatment using chip-based CICs, with VNeID application. According to statistics, up to now, the whole district has had all 11 medical examination and treatment facilities performing information lookup using chip-based citizen identification cards via scanning QR code, for nearly 1,600 patients, including more than 1,300 cases with successful lookup.

The model has helped save time and human resources, reduce administrative paperwork and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment. To continue effectively deploying the model and successfully complete the targets of the Project No.06, the district’s health sector, agencies, departments and 10 communes and towns will have close coordination with the district’s police to ensure that 100% of the local citizens are eligible to be issued chip-based CICs cards and activate level-2 electronic identification accounts.
