More donations assisting Covid-19 offered

On June 15, the Standing Committee of Binh Duong provincial Youth Federation and the Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province visited and presented donations to the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic in the blockade area and Covid-19 outbreaks in the area of Tan Uyen town.

At the checkpoints and locked down areas in Tan Phuoc Khanh ward, the officers extended caring words and encourage the soldiers and young volunteer working locally. On the occasion, 10,000 medical masks, 30 cartons of drinking water, 150 hand-sanitizing bottles, 100 liters of hand sanitizer and 50 wide hats were donated to assist the Covid-19 prevention and control in Tan Uyen town.

On the same day, the provincial and the Thuan An city Trade Union organized a delegation to visit and give gifts to support frontline workers in the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic at 3 quarantine areas in the province including dormitory of Thuy Loi University, Vietnam - Singapore Vocational College and Thuan An city Medical Center.

At each destination, the delegation graciously visited, encouraged, and shared difficulties and hardships that the entire frontline force in disease prevention and control was facing. They acknowledged and thanked the silent contributions and sacrifices that the units have been making.

On this occasion, the provincial Trade Union awarded quarantine areas with essential necessities at a total cost of VND 6 million. Thuan An city Trade Union has given VND 40 million in cash, 30 cartons of milk, and 40 medical protective suits to the force on duty at the quarantine areas. They have mobilized businesses to give 15,000 masks to support Thuan An city Medical Center for the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic.

On the same day, Youth’s League of the provincial Police visited and donated to the force on duty of Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control in Ben Cat town and Bau Bang district.

Accordingly, the delegation gave 200 cartons of water and 2 boxes of medical gloves to Ben Cat town and Bau Bang district Youth’s League. These necessities will be transferred to the forces on duty at the quarantine and blockade posts in the 2 localities.

In the same developments, the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of Di An ward in Di An city has presented 16 gifts to households in the quarantine area in Thong Nhat quarter 1. The Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee and the Red Cross of the ward in coordination with the Committee Binh Minh 2 quarter manager gave 80 gifts to disadvantaged people in the neighborhood; each gift was worth VND 300,000. In addition, the neighborhood management board sent an amount of VND 19.3 million to the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of the ward to support the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic.
