On December 12, at Chanh My Primary School (Thu Dau Mot City), the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Student Sports Association and Nestlé Vietnam Company organized a program named "Exercise break flashmob of elementary school students in Binh Duong province" to set a Vietnamese record.
11,032 students at 15 primary schools in the province took part in this event. The students together performed a flashmob dance of two songs “Rap buổi sáng” (Morning Rap) and “Năng động Việt Nam” (Dynamic Vietnam). The performance was broadcast online from the main venue, Chanh My Primary School.
This is also the restart of the morning and time-break exercise programs that the Vietnam Student Sports Association and the Nestlé Milo hope to expand in elementary schools across the country. Previously, in April 2019, for the first time, Vietnam recorded the largest number of 6,146 students performing morning exercise and time-break exercise in Vietnam in Vinh Long province.
According to Nguyen Thanh De, Director of Department of Physical Education under Ministry of Education and Training, time-break exercise is a necessary activity for students between classes. Therefore, it is necessary for the cooperation and contribution of schools, parents and businesses to help the school sports movement grow stronger. From there, creating a foundation for good health and mentality, especially the students' sense of self-training during activities and movements at school.
