More than 300 cases of smuggling and commercial fraud detected and handled

 From the beginning of this year to March 15, 2023, Binh Duong Customs Department detected and handled 302 cases of law violation, an increase of 138 cases compared to the same period in 2022. The value of infringing goods is estimated at nearly 10 billion VND. In which, tax arrears collected was nearly 46,470 billion VND, administrative fines was nearly 3.5 billion VND. The inspection of goods through scanners detected 2,803 containers of 1,253 declarations, thereby detecting 7 cases, the amount of administrative violation fines was 6,758 million VND, the arrears was more than 34.894 billion VND. The main violations were import of wrong origin, import without declaration, export of wrong container number...

Inspection through scanners has brought many practical benefits to import and export activities, especially for businesses with a large amount of import and export goods. This work is continuing to support businesses to shorten customs clearance time, reduce loading / unloading costs, improve law compliance, timely detect violations, and effectively fight smuggling and trade fraud.
