The National Target Program on new rural construction is a push to bring about great, comprehensive and historical achievements, contributing to improving the people’s material and mental lives in rural areas. The program also creates a solid foundation for political stability, national defense and security, social order, and economic development; create conditions to carry out the industrialization - modernization of the country. On the basis of the achievements in the past time, localities in the province are speeding up to complete the goal of advanced new rural construction, towards model new rural areas.

It can be said that the national target program of new rural construction has brought great achievements to Binh Duong countryside. The effect brought by the program is that the technical infrastructure serving people's lives in rural areas is improved, the socio-economic infrastructure in rural areas continues to receive attention and investment, and the regional economic structure of rural areas continue to shift towards industry - service has changed the face of rural areas in the direction of becoming more spacious and modern. Along with the program of building new-style rural areas, Binh Duong is also interested in building connected transport infrastructure to shorten the distance between rural and urban areas, creating favorable conditions in all aspects of people's lives and activities.

Besides investing in the construction of technical infrastructure, the new rural construction program also creates favorable conditions for localities to restructure production, apply science and technology into agriculture, and launch start-up movement to increase income for rural people. The effect brought from these movements is that per capita income in rural areas in the province has grown continuously. While in the 2016-2020 period, the average income per capita in rural Binh Duong reached 58 million VND/person/year, by 2022, it now reaches nearly 80 million VND/year (nearly twice as high as the national average 42 million VND/year). The prosperity of the countryside and the well-being of farmers is the visible effect and result of the national target program on new rural construction. The success of this program is the driving force for localities in the province to continue to accelerate the advanced new rural construction, towards model rural areas. Advanced new rural construction requires localities to make higher efforts and more investments. However, if localities in the province complete this goal, the effect will also be higher.

Although it is difficult, on the basis of the achievements of the new rural construction, up to now, the whole province has 29/46 communes recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards; the remaining communes continue to maintain and gradually improve the quality of criteria to become advanced new rural areas in the near future. An advantage of the localities is that parallel to the program of new rural construction, the province is implementing a program to bring industry to the countryside. With the companionship of many programs and cross-cutting goals to improve the material and mental lives of rural people, it is believed that by 2025, Binh Duong will complete the goal of new rural construction as planned.
