Many National Assembly (NA) deputies have said they believe their newly-elected leaders will continue to build on the achievements of the 12th National Assembly.
Deputy Dang Thuan Phong from the Ben Tre provincial delegation said Ben Tre voters want the new-tenure National Assembly to completely remove the shortcomings of the 12th NA and build on its strengths. For example, he said, policymaking should stick to reality and meet life’s demands, and laws must be complete without additional guiding documents. Phong also called for a more democratic atmosphere so that the people’s wishes will be heeded.
Deputy Vo Kim Cu, who represents Ha Tinh province, remarked that voters nationwide absolutely believe in the first session of the 13th NA and are confident that the new tenure will successfully fulfill the mission with which the Party and people have entrusted it.
Deputy Le Minh Hoan of the Dong Thap provincial delegation expressed his hope that the new NA will do more to improve the quality of its activities and effectively handle urgent public issues.
