NA discusses draft law on civil servants

In the morning of October 26, National Assembly continues discussion about draft law on civil servants. Ideas are various contributing to discussion which includes initiative to establish managing council in each state-own non-business agency to prevent leadership abuses in recruitment which is relatively popular. However, there are rejections against establishment of managing councils. Delegation Nguyen Minh Thuyet from Lang Son province argued that there is no need to expand the system because such councils may fall into formalistic operation only. He also suggested that working span of highly qualified persons and female staffs.

 Delegation Nguyen Ngoc Dao from Hanoi disagreed with the idea that applicants to civil servant positions must be people with Vietnamese nationality. He claimed that such approach will bar oversea Vietnamese from contributing to the country.
