National High School Graduation Exam 2022: Ensuring safety, seriousness

On the afternoon of July 8, after finishing the foreign language exam, together with more than 1 million examinees across the country, more than 12,800 examinees in Binh Duong completed the national high school graduation exam 2022. After 2 days of the exam full of tension, this year's high school graduation exam was judged to take place safely, seriously in accordance with regulations.

The national high school graduation exam 2022 included five tests: mathematics; literature; foreign languages; natural sciences (physics, chemistry, biology); and social sciences (history, geography, citizen education) for students following the general education curriculum, or history and geography for those following the continuing education curriculum.

At 15:30 pm of July 8, examinees finished the foreign language test, ending the two days of the 2022 high school graduation exam. After completing necessary procedures, they stepped out of the exam rooms one by one, ending two days of the serious and stressful exam. Many were quite confident with their tests in the past two days, but others were still regretful and disappointed in their tests of some subjects. Excitedly coming out of the exam site with a smile on her face, Nguyen Ha Anh (a student from Vo Minh Duc High School) said that this year's exam questions for social sciences were easier than the natural ones. For the 40-question exam, there were 30 easy questions available in the reviewed outline and 10 questions that required examinees to study carefully and deeply because these were rarely mentioned by textbooks.

After completing natural sciences (physics, chemistry, biology) and social sciences (history, geography, citizen education), many examinees said that the exam questions followed the textbook program, were relatively "easy to breathe", had a high degree of differentiation through each question. Pham Quoc Bao, a student of Trinh Hoai Duc High School in Thuan An city said that this year, he took natural science tests. According to Bao, this year's exam questions are easier than last year. “I see this year's exam questions are mainly in the review program. Basically I am confident to do nearly 90% of the subjects. Each test has questions that differentiate knowledge from difficult to easy, creating excitement for examinees", Bao added. Le Bao Nhi, a student of Tran Van On High School in Thuan An city said: This year's math problem is quite difficult compared to my ability. I predict that I will get 6-7 points and I am not really satisfied with my math work."

According to Ma Hoang Xuan Thi (a student of Binh Phu High School), this year's literature exam was very easy and interesting. Xuan Thi was most confident in the reading comprehension part. In the writing part, I completed it very quickly. The part was required to analyze and relate the boat in the excerpt from the short story "A boat from afar" by writer Doan Minh Chau, with the boat struggling against the waves that Xuan Thi practiced a lot, so it made him even more excited.

The successful organization of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2022-2023 school year is the motivation and experience for Binh Duong to continue successfully organizing the national high school graduation exam 2022. All members who were on duty at 26 exam sites in the province upheld with a sense of responsibility, strictly implementing all stages during the examination process to ensure substantive exam results in accordance with the regulations of the exam.

According to the preliminary assessment of provincial Department of Education and Training, during the two days of the exam, plans to ensure security and order were coordinated by localities and schools with key functional forces to effectively implement, ensuring absolute safety, helping examinees and parents feel secure and confident. The examination councils closely monitored the situation of examinees, promptly reported when there were unexpected cases. During the 2 days of the exam in Binh Duong, 37 examinees were absent from the exam in literature; 45 were absent in math. For natural science tests, there were 48 examinees being absent. The social science tests were empty of 49 examinees. There were 38 examinees being absent from foreign language test. Exam sites throughout the province strictly complied with the exam regulations. There were no examination officials violating the exam regulations. In particular, no examinees violated the exam regulations.

Pham Ba Quang, a parent taking his child to the exam site at Ly Thai To High School in Thuan An city shared: "At the exam site, functional forces worked very seriously. There was no situation that parents gathered near the exam site for the duration of the exam. During the two days of the exam, examinees were actively supported by volunteers, which made me feel secure and confident in the quality of the exam.

Nguyen Thi Nhat Hang, Director of provincial provincial Department of Education and Training (DoET) said: The work related to the national high school graduation exam 2022 was prepared carefully by provincial DoET, the standing body of provincial Steering Board for high school graduation exam 2022. As of now, the exam was completed successfully. During the past 2 days, the exam took place safely, objectively, fairly, seriously, in accordance with regulations. The work of ensuring security, order and traffic safety at the exam sites was well done by localities. All examiness as well as parents were welcomed and fully supported by volunteers, creating all the best conditions for examinees to complete the exam successfully.
