Nearly 1,900 cases of traffic safety violations handled

Lieutenant Colonel Le Ba Thanh, Deputy Chief of Bau Bang District Police, said that in the first six months of 2023, traffic police force of the district public security conducted 260 patrols with 1,588 participation turns of officers. As a result, the patrol force recorded nearly 1,900 cases of traffic safety violations, seized 1,425 vehicles of all kinds, 695 driving licenses, 75 vehicle registration certificates, 33 technical safety and environmental protection certificates, 30 car badges.

Bau Bang district traffic police coordinate forces to strengthen patrols to ensure traffic safety and prevent crime.

Also during this time, the violation handling department received 1,384 cases of violators implementing sanctioning decisions with a total fine of nearly VND9 billion; apply additional penalties such as temporary impoundment of driving licenses to 409 cases; seized 735 vehicles. In which, common violations concerned alcohol concentration, not wearing a helmet, not obeying traffic lights, speeding over the prescribed limit, etc.

In the first 6 months of 2023, Bau Bang district had 20 traffic accidents, killing 12 people, injuring 15 people, damaging 34 vehicles of all kinds.
