On Sept. 5, along with pupils throughout the country, nearly 300,000 pupils at all levels throughout the province officially entered the 2013-2014 new school year. In the first day of the academic year of 2013-2014, leaders of the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council and Committee and localities participated in the opening ceremony with pupils and teachers.

Lively ambience in the first day of the new school year

 

Teachers and pupils of Thuong Tan high school in Tan Uyen district welcomed the provincial party committee secretary Mai The Trung to attend in the opening day of the new school year. At the opening ceremony, Mai The Trung suggested Thuong Tan high school’s directorate to synchronously implement measures on improving quality of education, positively responding the mobilizations and emulation movements initiated by the sector of Education and Training, renovating teaching methods and many more.

 

In addition, he also asked the high school’s teachers to improve occupational awareness and qualification to deserve pupils’ bright examples. The secretary also requested authorities and mass associations to pay more attention to teachers and pupils’ material and spiritual living.

 

Also the same day, Dau Tieng high school’s teachers and pupils solemnly held the opening ceremony of the new school year of 2013-2014 with the participation of the provincial People’s Council chairman Vu Minh Sang. As a remote school, thanks to dedication of teachers, 100% of pupils of Dau Tieng high school passed the past high school final exam. At the opening ceremony of the new school year held at Hung Vuong Gifted high school, the provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung highly valued the school’s done results and extended congratulations to the high school teachers and pupils. On this occasion, the high school directorate honored 14 excellent pupils winning high marks at the past university entrance exams. In addition, the school’s study promotion society granted 16 scholarships to 16 excellent pupils.

 

In Di An town, more than 43,000 pupils at all levels eagerly entered the new school year. Attending the opening ceremony of the new academic year at Nguyen An Ninh high school in the same town were Nguyen Minh Giao, head of the provincial Committee for Education and Propaganda. Nguyen Minh Giao asked the school teachers to synchronously launch measures of improving quality of education, renovating teaching method as well as to encourage pupils’ creation, further enhance capacity of teachers and educational managers.

 

Meanwhile, teachers and pupils of Huynh Van Nghe high school in Tan Uyen district welcomed the provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Huynh Van Nhi, local leaders on the opening ceremony of the new school year of 2013-2014. In the last academic year, the school teachers renovated teaching method to uphold pupils’ creation and proactivity. In the past school year, rate of pupils passing exams reached 97.2% whilst rate of pupils graduating high school level won 99.3%.

 

In the opening day of the new school year, Chanh My primary school’s teachers and pupils’ joy was duplicated when the school’s new headquarters was put into use. Meanwhile, Hoa Mai pre-school in Phu My ward, Thu Dau Mot city was put into use on the new school year.

 

Most of the local schools granted scholarships and gifts to excellent-but-poor pupils to encourage their spirit.

 

Improving efficiency and sustainable quality

 

This is the theme of the 2013-2014 school year initiated by the provincial department of Education and Training. The entire sector has focused on 4 key tasks of improving efficiency of managerial work; enhancing quality and efficiency of educational work; developing teacher staff and educational managers; increasing investment sources and ensuring synchronous development of education.

 

In this year, the sector turns the mobilization of “Every teacher is a moral example on self-study and creation” and the movement of “Building friendly schools and positive students” into an action plan. In addition, the entire sector has positively studied and followed Uncle Ho’s teachings.

 

Implementing the sector’s instruction, local schools have set out measures in conformity with conditions of every locality. At Nguyen An Ninh high school in Di An town, teachers and pupils in the past school year seriously implemented the mobilization of Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples”, the movement of “Every teacher is a moral example on self-study and creation” and the movement of “Building friendly schools and positive students”.

 

Similarly, Huynh Van Nghe high school in Tan Uyen district has focused on teaching method on the theme of “renovating substance, improving sustainable quality” with the motto of “Motivation-creation”, and the slogan of “dedication for loved students”.

 

In the meantime, Dau Tieng high school has launched mobilizations and emulation movements of the sector, renovated teaching method to improve quality of education. Hung Vuong Gifted high school has pledged to win 100% of graduated students.

 

Amid lively ambience of the opening ceremony of the new school year, local educational sector and localities have made greater efforts to improve efficiency of teaching and learning.
