Nearly VND1.4 billion for women to escape poverty
Through various forms of home-based business development, such as: lending, credit sale with no interest, during 2014, Ben Cat town Women’s Union encouraged 284 well-off female members to help 354 ones having difficult circumstance with total amount of VND1.4 billion.
In addition, Ben Cat town Women’s Union and its affiliates have practices thrift to help each other escaping poverty, implemented sparing model VND5,000, established 86 groups including 2,760 members with a total amount of over VND565 million.
Additionally, thrift practicing movement for disadvantaged women has mobilized VND8.4 billion to help 640 women loans, building 7 compassionate houses for poor members, and sponsoring monthly 30 poor pupils with total expense of VND47 million…
