Nearly VND50billion spent on social charity activities

On January 3, the Executive Board of provincial Buddhist Sangha reviewed its activities in 2019 and defined orientations, tasks for 2020, in attendance of representatives of provincial Fatherland Front Committee, provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, relevant sectors and departments.

Provincial Buddhist Sangha reached considerable achievements in Buddhist work last year. Especially, units under provincial Buddhist Sangha mobilized nearly VND50billion from organizations and individuals to implement social charity activities, including building rural bridges in the Mekong Delta provinces, constructing houses of compassion, offering gifts to needy people in and out of the province, realizing the “Tet for the poor” program…

In 2020, provincial Buddhist Sangha will continue realizing the motto of accompanying the nation, upholding solidarity and complying with the Charter of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to realize significant Buddhist programs; well realize social charity activities…
