Nearly VND7bln subscribed to Thuan An’s fund for the poor

Early Nov.5, Thuan An district’s Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) forwarded a conference to sum up the 10-year implementation of the “Day for the Poor” campaign from 2000 to 2010.

 After 10 years of realizing the “Day for the Poor” campaign, the whole district mobilized organizations and individuals to donate nearly VND7bln to its fund for the poor. The district’s Mobilization Board for the “Day for the Poor” campaign used the fund to build and upgrade 78 gratitude houses, 501 unity houses; help 16 children with heart diseases enjoy surgeries; provide free medical check-ups and medicine for the poor…

 On this occasion, 29 collectives and 18 individuals herein were also honored for their good performance in the “Day for the Poor” campaign (photo).
