Netherlands to fund Phan Rang – Thap Cham water recycling system

The Netherlands has agreed to provide assistance of VND398 billion (US$19.1 million) to help Phan Rang – Thap Cham city in the central province of Ninh Thuan construct a waste water collection, treatment and recycling system. 

This announcement was made by the Ninh Thuan provincial People’s Committee at a seminar on April 2.

The new recycling system will provide thousands of household along the Ong Co irrigation canal in Tan Tai ward a stable source of water to use for agricultural production during the annual dry season.

It will also protect and improve the habitat, promote agricultural production and collect and treat waste water in the wards of bao An, Dai Son, Phuoc My, Do Vinh, Phu Ha, Thanh Son, My Binh and Van Hai.

At the seminar, the local residents agreed on developing the project and to co-ordinate with the government and relevant agencies in ground clearance to start the implementation of the project in 2014.
