New rebound from breakthrough programs

After more than two years of implementing the Resolution of the 4^th local Party Committee for the 2015-2020 tenure by many breakthrough programs, Phu Giao district has so far continued reaching thriving steps in socio-economic development.

10 out of 16 targets fulfilled

Over the past three years, with solidarity, unanimity and high determination, Phu Giao district’s Party Committee focused on directing the implementation of the Resolution of the 4^th local Party Committee for the 2015-2020 tenure and gained major results. As of now, the district has reached 10 out of 16 set targets of the Resolution. The result has contributed to the local socio-economic development.

As a locality with basic advantages plus efforts in sci-tech application, the district’s agriculture has reached new development steps. Over the past two years, the sector gained stable growth and continued holding a main role in the local economy.

The district also effectively realized the program on new rural construction. Nguyen Van Long, Permanent Vice-Secretary of the district’s Party Committee said that the district bent on directing the implementation of the program with results done, thereby making the local rural image get more thriving and improving the lives of locals. In addition, the district paid more attention to infrastructure construction, facilitating locals’ traveling and trade activities. As of now, the district has had 8 out of 10 communes reaching criteria of the program on new rural construction. The district is striving to have additional 2 new rural communes by the end of 2018 and be recognized as a new rural district by the end of 2019.

Breakthrough programs

The district has concretized the Resolution of the 4^th local Party Committee for the 2015-2020 tenure by 3 breakthrough programs.

With a breakthrough program in industrial production, five industrial compounds of more than 300 hectares in the district have been approved by provincial People’s Committee. Tam Lap 1 industrial compound is now under construction. The formation of industrial compounds will create a new rebound for the local economy. The district has braced up and created favorable conditions for households and units to apply sci-tech advancements into production through a breakthrough in agriculture. The district has step by step formed up hi-tech agricultural models and large-scale breeding facilities as planned. These animal husbandry facilities have applied new techniques, bringing hi-economic efficiency and generating jobs for laborers…

However, according to Mr.Long, the district has still encouraged certain shortcomings on the price fluctuation of materials, the shift of economic structure, investment attraction...The district’s Party Committee has also considered and mapped out methods to redress these shortcomings. It is believed that with the above-mentioned results plus solidarity, unanimity within the whole Party Committee, consensus among people from all strata, the district will complete the remaining 6 targets in the coming time, thereby victoriously realizing the Resolution of the 4^th local Party Committee for the 2015-2020 tenure.
