Joining the scientific conference of “The tradition inheritance of Binh Duong in a quarter of a century - The achievements and prospects”, officials, CPV members and people strata in the province are expecting for stronger developmental contribution of the conference in the new stages.
Ms. Dang Thi Kim Chi, Chairwoman of Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park Trade Union: More measures needed to elevate lives of working people
“The whole province currently has 29 industrial parks and 12 industrial clusters attracting nearly 42,300 domestic enterprises and over 3,750 foreign-invested projects, and employing about 1.6 million people. Over the past time, Binh Duong has always determined that the labor force plays an important role in the process of socio-economic development and has had many practical guidelines and policies to take care of the workforce such as housing, job creation, health care, education, investment and improving the quality of activities of cultural institutions, amusement parks, and entertainment facilities for employees.

In particular, during the peak of COVID-19 in 2021, the province and trade unions at all levels paid attention to workers in a timely manner to from the timely supply food, supporting packages, and vaccines so that workers and business owners feel more secure to trust the Trade Union and Binh Duong's policies.
However, in general, the working life of workers is still very harsh as conditions of income and housing are all low, while prices are escalating. It is hoped that, at the conference, leaders, managers, and researchers will give many solutions for social security policies and improved living standards of workers. Specifically, the focus is on supporting and helping workers with jobs and income security to improve housing conditions and perfect the health network. In parallel, the focus is on investing and building a system of amusement parks and entertainment areas to offer favorable conditions to workers, especially those in enterprises with high income. Foreign investment capital and private enterprises participate in activities of entertainment, culture, art, physical training, sports, and community activities.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tai, a CPV member at Uyen Hung ward in Tan Uyen Town: Smart city – the inspiration for strong emergence of the province
“Through the press, I know that Binh Duong has been honored for the fourth time in a row as an area with a typical smart city development strategy of the world. Binh Duong smart city project launched in 2016 is a specific content to implement breakthrough development programs of the province. The project takes the core as building the triple helix interaction of state - schools, research institutes - entrepreneurs. The idea of forming Binh Duong smart city is also the expression of the province's strong desire to rise.
Therefore, I hope that at the conference, leaders, scientists, and strategic planners will clarify the orientations of this project through which people will enjoy many values."
Mr. Nguyen Anh Vu, Chairman of Phu Loi ward People’s Committee in Thu Dau Mot city: More attention and investments to cultural institutions
“Looking back at the 25-year construction and development, we could see that the province has achieved many important landmarks in the fields of economy-society and defense-security. Currently, Binh Duong is a bright spot in the southern key economic region and an ideal destination for domestic and foreign investors, and it is striving to become a place worth living.
The achievement is that the province has many guidelines and policies that are pleasing to the people; many breakthrough programs have mobilized for investment resources and promoting economic development, especially in the fields of industry, urban areas, and infrastructure. In particular, the province has done well its propaganda to mobilize people to agree with the province in clearing and compensating for many large works and projects. In recent years, Binh Duong has been aiming to build a smart city to open up many new opportunities, and create a breakthrough in economic development in the coming time.
However, in the development process of the province, there are still some aspects that are not comprehensive and investment is not worthy. Therefore, I hope the conference will analyze and properly assess the current situation to come up with appropriate development solutions in the coming time. In particular, I wish the province would pay more attention to investments in cultural institutions to create a highlight for Binh Duong as well as to meet the spiritual needs of the people. Concurrently, it is an industrially developed province attracting a lot of workers from other provinces and cities to live and work, so the province needs to pay more attention to care-taking of social security, housing, security and order..."
