*In 2017, provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) gave training on poverty reduction for nearly 2,000 district/commune/hamlet/quarter-level cadres.

*Under the policy of “paying debt of gratitude”, Phu Giao district last year spent over VND9billion on taking care of policy beneficiaries.

The district also built and upgraded 34 gratitude houses for revolutionary contributors, martyrs’ families with a total expense of VND1.5billion; gave 2 saving books worth VND10million each for 2 revolutionary contributors; received and burn 3 sets of remains of martyrs at the local Martyrs’ Cemetery…

*Ben Cat town’s Study Promotion Association and its branches last year awarded 856 scholarships worth VND1.3billion to poor-but-excellent pupils.

This year, the association will continue mobilizing agencies, enterprises and donors in and out of the town to offer help to poor-but-excellent pupils and those with excellent academic results.
