*10,000 elderly people wished longevity: On the occasion of the International Day of the Elderly (Oct.1), provincial People’s Committee has spent more than VND3.7bln on visiting and presenting gifts for the elderly as stipulated by the Law on the Elderly.

*Di An town: To celebrate the International Day of the Elderly, the Association of the Elderly of Tan Dong Hiep, Binh Thang and An Binh wards have held a Taichi performance competition for 375 elderly people. This was also a chance for the local elderly people to meet and share experience in taking physical exercise.

*In 2012, provincial Association of the Elderly has provided a total loan of more than VND3.4bln for more than 2,000 poor elderly people to develop homebased business, contributing to helping them stabilize their lives.
